Emergency cases


Injuries​
These include injuries to the eyes from foreign bodies, blows or chemicals, which require immediate assessment and treatment to avoid permanent damage.

Sudden Vision Loss
Any sudden vision impairment may be due to serious conditions such as bleeding, blocked blood vessels or retinal detachment, and needs rapid diagnosis and treatment.

Acute Inflammation
Inflammations of the eye or adjacent tissues (such as conjunctivitis, uveitis etc.) causing pain, redness and irritation.

Keratitis
Inflammations or infections of the cornea can threaten vision if not treated quickly.

Glaucoma Crisis
Sudden increase in intraocular pressure, causing severe pain in the eyeball, blurred vision and nausea, and is an ocular emergency.
